Hiking & Climbing in the Dolomites - Holidays in South Tyrol at the Catinaccio

An unforgettably beautiful hike to the Vajolet Towers in the Rosengarten

An exciting excursion in the Dolomites up to the Vajolet towers.

We go up with the cable car from Vigo di Fassa and walking for 35 minutes through a centuries-old pine and larch forest we arrive in Gardeccia. From there in 40 minutes we reach the Vajolet Refuge.

After a short stop we take the left and walk along the steep path, in some parts aided, towards the Re Alberto Refuge, which we reach after an hour of demanding climb. We are at the Vajolet towers, 6 stone monuments, made to be climbed by experienced and courageous climbers. The three most beautiful towers are the Delago Tower, the Stabeler Tower and the Winkler Tower. These towers in the Catinaccio are among the most bizarre peaks of the Dolomites in South Tyrol. The tiny "Gartl" pond mirrors the miniature towers. The atmosphere in this wild valley between towers and white gravel is exciting for its spectacular view. Let's jump to the Santner Pass from an altitude of 2,734 meters, below the Cima del Catinaccio, to look at the breathtaking panorama, the Corno Bianco, the Corno Nero, the Brenta Group and the Ortles Group . The beauty of the mountains of the Dolomites leaves us speechless, and we are grateful for having lived an unforgettable experience.
